Our Fight Against ASB and Fire Station Fun: From the beat to the Open day |

|
Its been awhile since my last post, I am still around I have just unfortunately been on different training and had some annual leave. I am back now for a bit and had a busy week.
I have been out delivering an intention for a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). The way this works is a person causing issues and anti social behaviour (ASB) is given a Community Protection Warning (CPW), I have mentioned giving these before. If these warning aren’t abided by then a Community Protection Notice is given (CPN). The CPW and CPN are both civil and not criminal. On the back of a breach of CPN or crime we can apply to the courts for a CBO giving any evidence of ASB and breaches of the CPN. Most of the time a CPW is enough to stop most ASB, but unfortunately at times we have to and will apply for criminal orders which then means people can be arrested for the ASB they are doing. #TacklingASB I was working the England football night on Wednesday the 17th. Everyone was is great spirits which is great to see. Happy to see everyone out in the pubs and having fun as long as it doesn’t turn into issues. We are out and about checking for Drink Drivers, Criminal Behaviour and ASB. We also know the links between the football and Domestic Violence. We want everyone to enjoy the games safely and we hope for more WINS! I have also been helping out in Droitwich for an operation which was very successful and shows what joint working can do. I have helped with Bromsgrove District Housing Group (BDHT) with a joint address visit and also been doing checks on domestic violence addresses where a Domestic Violence Protection Order has been placed.
Big event of the week was the Fire open day. It was great to see all of you that came to the Open day at the Fire Station yesterday. It was a great event with lots of different agencies all coming together showing off the amazing things they do. Fire had an amazing array of equipment and a group (small group) of firefighters pulled a Fire engine across the car park! Well done indeed. We had two bikes, Police Dog, large public order van, uniform to try on and a chance for people to take their finger prints as a souvenir. The very friendly police mascot Peeler made an appearance and stood for many photos. (five points if you can guess who from the Oldington Foley and Sutton park team it was) Couldn’t have done it without the support of the other officers from the dog unit, traffic, Bewdley and Kidderminster Safer Neighbourhood team.
Peeler tried to make a quick escape and patrol Kidderminster, but couldn’t get the stand down.
When Peeler wasn’t being treated like a giant chew toy a good photo was taken.
Trying to look cool and nonchalant
Peeler and Trumpton Fire and Police not olnly work in the same buildings you can tell the mascots are friends.
Hope you all have a good week coming and remember to wear sun screen and find somewhere cool to hide! I will be back on THURSDAY 25TH JUNE 2026 and will be working the football again the weekend. *fingers crossed* I will leave you with some fun facts:
Polar bears have black skin hidden beneath their thick, white coats, and their individual hairs are actually completely hollow Todays date in 1913 Tiny Broadwick was the first woman to parachute from an airplane Todays date in 1879 Frank Winfield Woolworth opened his first successful "Woolworth's Great Five Cent Store" on North Queen Street, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Woolworths then came to England becoming the store we knew and loved. It wasn’t until November 5, 1909, the first Woolworths store in the UK opened in Liverpool.
